Serves 6 · Sized for Ninja SLUSHi 88oz
Ingredients
- 2 packets sugar-free Skittles Singles drink mix (any flavor — Original is classic)
- 42 oz cold filtered water
- 6 oz allulose syrup
- 1 pinch fine sea salt (optional, sharpens the candy flavor)
Method
- Stir both Skittles packets into the cold water until fully dissolved — no chunks. The packets are flavor + color only, no sugar.
- Whisk in the 6 oz of allulose syrup. THIS is what makes the machine actually freeze. Sugar-free Skittles mix alone reads ~0 Brix and the compressor refuses to engage below 4 percent sugar by volume (your machine beeps + flashes a downward LED sequence). Allulose is the only no-calorie sweetener that lowers the freeze point the same way real sugar does — stevia and erythritol do not work.
- Add the pinch of salt if using. Stir.
- Pour the 48 oz total into the Slushi vessel. Stays well under the FS301 mix line (64 oz) and even the FS300 (48 oz).
- Run Slush mode at the standard freeze setting. Allulose recipes freeze 5-10 minutes slower than sugar-sweetened versions because allulose crystallizes more gradually — give it 35-50 minutes.
- Dispense once the auger pitch deepens. Kid-safe (no glycerine, no alcohol, no fake sweeteners that flag the machine).
Garnish: 3 actual Skittles on the rim (optional, for kids)
