Serves 10 · Sized for Ninja SLUSHi FS701 (96oz mix)
Ingredients
- VESSEL A — Watermelon Sunrise:
- 24 oz fresh watermelon juice (or 3 cups cubed watermelon, blended and strained)
- 8 oz fresh orange juice
- 4 oz simple syrup (1:1 sugar/water, pre-chilled)
- 4 oz water (pre-chilled)
- VESSEL B — Watermelon Mint:
- 28 oz fresh watermelon juice (or 3.5 cups cubed watermelon, blended and strained)
- 8 oz fresh lime juice
- 4 oz simple syrup (1:1 sugar/water, pre-chilled)
- 2 oz water (pre-chilled)
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves (muddled gently, strained before pouring)
Method
- Prep: Blend and strain fresh watermelon into juice; pre-chill all liquids. For Vessel B, gently muddle mint leaves in a cup, let steep 2 min, then strain out solids.
- Pour Vessel A (Watermelon Sunrise) into the LEFT pitcher: 24 oz watermelon juice + 8 oz orange juice + 4 oz simple syrup + 4 oz water = 40 oz total. Do not exceed the 48 oz max fill line.
- Pour Vessel B (Watermelon Mint) into the RIGHT pitcher: 28 oz watermelon juice + 8 oz lime juice + 4 oz simple syrup + 2 oz water + strained mint = 42 oz total. Do not exceed the 48 oz max fill line.
- Set both vessels to SlushAssist. Start the machine — both freeze in parallel.
- Wait 15–20 min until the pitch changes and both vessels are slushy. Use the dual-dispense handle for a twisted pour: the citrus-orange side brightens the watermelon; the mint-lime side adds herbaceous cool. Or dispense each side separately.
Garnish: Watermelon wedge or fresh mint sprig on rim
