Serves 6 · Sized for Ninja SLUSHi FS301 (64oz mix)
Ingredients
- 24 oz root beer (decarbonated — let sit open 15 min or stir vigorously)
- 16 oz cream soda or vanilla-forward cola
- 8 oz bourbon (e.g., Maker's Mark, Woodford Reserve)
- 8 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
- 6 oz simple syrup (1:1 sugar:water, pre-chilled)
- 2 oz vanilla extract or bourbon vanilla syrup
Method
- Decarbonate the root beer by letting it sit uncapped for 15 minutes or stirring vigorously for 30 seconds.
- In a large measuring cup, combine root beer, cream soda, bourbon, heavy cream, simple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir gently to blend (do not whip the cream).
- Pour into Ninja Slushi pitcher up to the 64 oz max fill line (total should be ~58 oz).
- Set machine to Spiked Slush mode and start. Freeze for 45–55 minutes until slush consistency is reached (listen for the churn pitch to change).
- Dispense into glasses and serve immediately. Stir gently before each scoop.
Garnish: Whipped cream + cinnamon stick
